Rules
I want to keep rules brief, so they are more spirit-of-the-law rather than word-of-the-law
Be considerate of others
If they don't (or probably don't) like something, don't do it to them. Depending on the person and situation, this could include stealing, killing players or their animals, building too close to someone's builds, destroying other player's stuff, etc. This also includes avoiding profanity and pretty much anything crass. Within reason, if someone asks you to stop, you stop.
The server is whitelisted
Let me know who you want added to the whitelist and I probably will add them to the server whitelist. Just give me their username (spelled correctly with capital/lowercase also correct) and how they're related to you (such as friend, relative, alternate account, etc.) You can email me directly at SuperDylEnt@gmail.com or use this whitelist form
Client-side mods/resource packs
Client-side mods/resource packs should not give play advantages over using plain vanilla Minecraft. If a mod gives a slight play advantage, those features are discouraged and I would encourage turning those specific options off (for example, minimap mods usually show nearby players and mobs and some inventory management mods automatically replace armor and totems of undying as it breaks).
Bugs/exploits
Bugs/exploits which allow seeing through normally opaque blocks, duplicating items/blocks/entities, etc. are not allowed. Bugs allowing faster clicking speeds and breaking bedrock are fine. If a bug may seem cheaty, ask me about it before using it.
If rules are broken
If rules are broken, they will be encouraged to try reconciling the issue with each other first. If the issue isn't resolved, then I will act as arbiter if possible before giving punishments. Taden defaults as arbiter if needed if an issue arises between me and another player that we cannot resolve on our own.
Changes
The server is meant to have a mostly vanilla feel, but some datapacks have been used to add small features. You can suggest changes you would like by messaging me personally or by filling out any of these forms: datapacks, mods, whitelist, other. This is the current list of server changes
- The Ender Dragon drops an Ender Dragon Egg and Elytra every time it dies (Vanilla Tweaks: dragon drops)
- A game of tag now exists on the server. Whoever is It will have a red name and a special name tag. They can tag by hitting another player, transferring the tag and yellow name to that player. They cannot tag afk players. The number of times someone has been tagged is displayed below their name (Vanilla Tweaks: tag)
- Wandering Traders have a 30% chance to sell maps to the nearest Ancient City (Ancient City Map Trader)
- The player can sit anywhere by using `/trigger sit` and then right clicking the block at their feet (take a seat)
- REMOVED: Attempting to equip armor while armor is already equipped in that slot swaps the equipped armor with the held armor. Side effect: you cannot attack or mine while holding armor (quick armor swapper)
- Item frames can be recolored by shift clicking them with dye. Undo the color by shift clicking with a water bucket or breaking the item frame (item frame color)
- Item frames can be made invisible by shift clicking them with shears. Includes a set of hidden advancements. Items in invisible frames can only be rotated if the player is sneaking. Some of these settings don't apply if the frames are made invisible using a `Statues` book. Undo by breaking the item frame (invisible item frames)
- All recipes are unlocked for players immediately (Vanilla Tweaks: unlock all recipes)
- afk players have a grayed out name after 5 minutes of inactivity (Vanilla Tweaks: afk display)
- Concrete can be crafted by throwing it in a cauldron (Vanilla Tweaks: cauldron concrete)
- Armor stands can be edited. Use `/trigger as_help` to get a book which edits the nearest armor stand/item frame. Item frames can also be made invisible and rotation locked, though invisible item frames have more support by shift clicking them with shears (Vanilla Tweaks: armor statues)
- The game can give the player a notice if they're tool or armor is at 10% durability. Off by default, configure with `/trigger duraping` (Vanilla Tweaks: durability ping)
- A player's head drops if another player kills them (Vanilla Tweaks: player head drops)
- Mobs can be silenced by naming them `Silence me`, `silence me`, or `silence_me` (Vanilla Tweaks: silence mobs)
- All mobs have a chance of dropping their head upon death. Chances depend on the mob. Unique heads exist for different zombie villagers; colors of parrots, llamas, and cats; and different wither variants exist. Pre-existing heads/skulls still only drop in the normal ways (Vanilla Tweaks: more mob heads)
- How long the server has been up in real world time can be viewed using a function (Vanilla Tweaks: real world clock)
- Nether portals can be created using crying obsidian and in any shape as long as you use a minimum of 4 obsidian blocks for the frame (Vanilla Tweaks: custom nether portals)
- Extra recipes for crafting dispensers. Uses same number of materials, just allows quicker crafting (Vanilla Tweaks: dropper to dispenser)
- Bread, shulker boxes, paper, etc. are now shapeless recipes (Vanilla Tweaks: straight to shapeless)
- Wool, terracotta, and stained glass can be re-dyed different colors (Vanilla Tweaks: universal dyeing)
- Most recipes that use cobblestone can now alternatively use blackstone (Vanilla Tweaks: blackstone cobblestone)
- Concrete powder can be smelted into stained glass of the same color (Vanilla Tweaks: powder to glass)
- Bark crafting now gives 4 blocks instead of 3 (Vanilla Tweaks: more bark)
- Brick block crafting now gives 4 blocks instead of 1 (Vanilla Tweaks: more bricks)
- Coral blocks can be crafted from 9 tubes/fans of the same color (Vanilla Tweaks: craftable coral blocks 3x3)
- Gravel can be crafted from 4 flint (Vanilla Tweaks: craftable gravel)
- Bundles can be crafted using rabbit hide, string, and sticks (Vanilla Tweaks: craftable bundles rabbit hide)
- Some mods (such as alternate current)
Changes Under Review
To give feedback specific to this section, please use the form changes under review or email me at SuperDylEnt@gmail.com and mention the title of the changeyou're giving feedback on. I will consider all feedback on these potential changes before making a final decision.
Vanilla Tweaks Custom Nether Portals
Decided: Default configuration forces nether portals to use at least 10 obsidian, giving no unfair advantage to using this datapack. After the Ender Dragon fight, I'll consider allowing smaller nether portals in the config settings. Allowing vanilla tweaks custom nether portals before the ender dragon fight (I'm thinking of not allowing custom shapes until after the ender dragon, but allowing crying obsidian before).
Rejected Changes
These are (unless otherwise specified) my current stance against changes I have rejected:
Hack Clients
Hack clients are not allowed
Operators, Moderators, Administrators
Operator status is not being given to other players. This decision may be reviewed if later there are lots of players often using the server and there are good players to trust with operator powers
Further, ownership of the server will not be switching hands at any time. Running a server is not just having access to the admin console, it requires keeping the server up to date, managing backups, reviewing changes, and keeping peace between players. It also costs money to run.
Large Phantoms (Vanilla Tweaks)
Large Phantoms from Vanilla Tweaks will not be added anytime soon. The main problem with the pack is that phantoms spawn for all players in the world if at least one player hasn't slept for a while. I don't want players that sleep consistently to be punished for other players choosing to not sleep.

Better Compass v3.0.0 | Compasses now show coordinates and cardinal direction | Adds a good use to compasses
Deepcutting | Gives deepslate the same stonecutter recipes as cobbled deepslate | I got tired of mining these two resources separate

Invisible Item Frames v2.3.1 | Item frames can be made invisible by shift clicking them with shears. Includes a set of hidden advancements. Items in invisible frames can only be rotated if the player is sneaking. Some of these settings don’t apply if the frames are made invisible using a `Statues` book. Undo by breaking the item frame | Very vanilla feeling way to allow invisible item frames
Wandering Cities | Aceplante: PlanetMC | Wandering traders have a chance to sell maps to the nearest Ancient City. 30% of wandering traders will sell an 'Ancient City Map Crate' | Adds an easier way to find Ancient Cities

Tag Game | Continues the tag game originally part of Vanilla Tweaks | I enjoy tag, it's keep players from killing each other as often |
Server Mods
Suggest mod changesAll mods either optimize the game, add server utilities, or fix vanilla bugs. The server is supposed to feel vanilla, so mods shouldn't require players to download anything on their side.
